DIMAQuestion: What made you decide to take the exam?
Karol Myszkowski: The decision was made at the organisational level of the company I work for. But it only motivated me to act. I had been looking for a way to test and verify my competence in the area of digital for a couple of months.
DQ: How do you think the certificate is perceived in the job market?
K.M.: I work in a smaller city – Białystok – and, to be honest, the certificate is either little heard of or not heard of at all here. But the situation is completely different when you get in touch with companies from e.g. Warsaw – they do value the fact of holding the certificate, which is helpful, even at the early stage of any talks.
DQ: How did you benefit from obtaining the certificate? What are your current plans regarding your career?
K.M.: First, for me it was mainly a next – official – step in my self-improvement in the digital domain.
Second, it drew my attention to gaps in areas I was familiar with, but not as much as I thought. Third, it inspired me to act and explore the online industry in more detail.

Working in the media industry since 2008. Started out in local press published by Media Regionalne, i.e. Kurier Poranny and Teraz Białystok. This was also where he first learned about online advertising.
Working for Ringier Axel Springer Polska since 2011 – involved in the process of the company’s business development in East Poland, contributing to the establishment of the company’s branches first in Białystok and then in Lublin one year later. He’s been a Macroregional Sales Manager for 4 years now, successfully transforming financial resources coming from printing activity and utilising them for online purposes, which has resulted in many clients satisfied with the outcome of the advertising campaigns he has managed.
